Meet the team: Steve Benton
This week we caught up with Steve, co-founder of Benton Furniture.
How long have you worked with Benton Furniture?
I've been at Benton Furniture since we kicked things off back in 1986. As a co-founder, I've been the Production Manager throughout the years. It's been quite a journey seeing how we've grown and evolved over the years.
What's your favourite part of the job?
I really enjoy taking a project from the planning stage all the way to the final fit. There's something special about watching raw wood come into the factory and leave as beautiful, handmade cabinets. It’s great working with the team to bring these designs to life.
Which is your favourite piece from the Benton Home Collection?
My favourite pieces from the Benton Home Collection are any from the Lydford Range. The detailing on the 5 piece drawer fronts and raised panels is really nice and brings something special to any room they are in.
What are you doing when you're not working?
Outside of work, I keep pretty busy with a few things. I have three daughters who’ve recently bought houses, so I’m often helping out with renovations. Being a grandfather to two, soon to be three, is a joy, and I love spending time with the grandkids. Plus, I enjoy walking and exploring new places whenever I get the chance.
