An incredible transformation story that we were honoured to be a part of. We helped transform their old barn house into a clean, spacious, breathable kitchen and utility room of dreams.

1. What do you love the most about your new space?
"We just love the quality of the workmanship, the attention to detail and and all the outstanding, individual little touches in the design that make it unique.
There are multiple layers of "wow factor" in it - despite the apparent simplicity of the design."
2. How has your new kitchen/living space/furniture changed the way you use your home day-to-day?
"We have gone from a traditional kitchen with natural wood and dark worktops - which had limited storage and space to a bright, ergonomic space which makes day to day cooking a real pleasure.
It's also a great entertaining space with plenty of room for friends and family.
It has fundamentally changed the way we use our house - we now live in our kitchen / dining space."
3. How would you describe your experience with our design and installation team?
"Jack, Richard and Steve followed our brief to the letter. They bought an enormous amount of experience and imagination to the project - and were not afraid to question our requirements / decisions when they had concerns or thought there was a better answer.
The amount of time that they spent with us during the design process was amazing - nothing was too much trouble.
The result is a beautiful kitchen which is exactly what we hoped for and are unable to identify anything we would change about it."
4. Was there a particular detail, feature or piece of craftsmanship that exceeded your expectations?
"It's difficult to pin down any particular feature because the whole project met / exceeded our expectations - it's more the overall time and sheer attention to detail that the team put into our project that stands out in our minds but here's a few things we love:
The contrasting colour inside the cupboards.
The low plinth height which makes the units appear to float above the floor.
The way that all of the panels are designed to look like handle-less drawers.
The way in which the units are a millimetre perfect fit into the space without any fillers or blanking panels.
The drawers within drawers.
The bespoke paint finish.
Every space is used to its maximum."
5. What would you say to someone considering Benton Furniture for a bespoke project?
"We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Benton Furniture. We've done several large projects in the past, and Benton have been well up among the best companies that we've dealt with.
They were a real pleasure to have working in our home.
Would we use them again? The answer is an emphatic "yes - 100%"!"

This incredible home has had many stages in it's life, from hay flooring to separate kitchen and dining areas. The conversion was started in 2001 and in 2003 Vicky and Steve moved in. During Covid was when the layout was remodelled.
Now it has a whole new life and ready for all the attention!
