Meet the team: Lisa Foote

This week we caught up with Lisa, our freelance content marketing specialist at Benton Furniture to hear more about her work and new business.

How long have you worked with Benton Furniture?

I started working with Benton Furniture back in January 2024, shortly after starting my own content marketing business, Sennen Creative.

What does your job involve?

As a freelancer, I offer services in social media coaching and strategy, social media management, content creation, and copywriting. At Benton Furniture I have been working with Jack and the team to help enhance their social media and email marketing strategy, and more recently, writing articles for the blog.

What's your favourite part of the job?

I enjoy the strategic, problem-solving side of digital marketing. You've got a product or a service to promote and it's my job to find a creative and engaging way to share that across different platforms, from social media to email marketing and website content. I also love to write, so creating captions or blog copy for my clients is one of my favourite parts of the job.

Which is your favourite piece from the Benton Home Collection?

All the furniture is beautifully made, but if I had to choose a favourite it'd be anything from the Hamptons range. I'm also obsessed with the Farrow & Ball shade 'Sulking Room Pink' so I'd have all the pieces personalised with this colour.

What are you doing when you're not working?

I love to travel, which I'm very lucky to be able to do often as most of my work is remote. In 2024 I went on my first solo trip around Europe for 6 weeks and saw 8 countries. I also love running. I'm a bit of a newbie to it, but over the last few months I have trained to run my first 5k. My next goal is to run a 10k in 2025.
