Hello and welcome to our first blog post of 2024. We want to kick the year off with our colour of the month, which for January is Farrow & Ball De Nimes. Inspired by the cloth of everyday workwear made in the French city of Nîmes, the colour has a beautifully muted blue hue that feels both classic and contemporary. It is reminiscent of the natural dyes that were historically used to create the iconic denim fabric, giving it a deep, resilient character that can add depth and complexity to any interior.

De Nimes strikes a unique balance between blue and grey, making it versatile and adaptable to a variety of lighting conditions and decorating styles. In well-lit spaces, the blue undertones of De Nimes can provide a serene and calming atmosphere, while in rooms with less natural light, its grey qualities come to the fore, creating a moody and cosy ambiance.

The colour works exceptionally well in a variety of settings, from traditional to modern. In a living room or bedroom, De Nimes can serve as a soothing backdrop that complements natural materials and textures, such as wood, leather, and linen.

The colour's versatility allows it to pair beautifully with a wide range of complementary shades, from soft neutrals to more vibrant tones, enabling homeowners to create a personalised look that feels both cohesive and inviting.

We paired De Nimes with brass handles on a number of pieces of furniture, avaible to buy from our website. Just add a note at checkout saying "De Nimes" to take advantage of a free colour upgrade before the end of January, worth £100.

We hope you all have a great week ahead :)
